Cricket Snickerdoodle Recipe

  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of cricket powder
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  1. Mix cream of tartar, flour, cricket powder, baking soda, and salt together
  2. Mix the sugar and butter, add eggs and blend well
  3. Mix together dry and wet ingredients well
  4. Mix cinnamon and sugar well in a small plate or bowl
  5. Roll about 1 inch (maybe a tad smaller) balls and roll cinnamon+sugar mixture
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees ( I found 8-9 helped keep them at a nice and soft/chew texture once cooled)
  7. Enjoy your delicious cricket treats!
